This is probably going to end up being a lot of food books. Goal is 100 for the year. Let’s get going.
1. Maisie Dobbs
The first book in a series about a flapper-era female detective and psychologist. Lots of references to WW1, so it’s not quite a “cozy” mystery because there’s a fair amount of descriptive gore as Maisie looks into a retreat for former soldiers disfigured or suffering from PTSD. A nice premise for what could otherwise be a cliched theme, I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
