It’s almost Pride month, and with it, a whole plethora of fun events celebrating the 2SLGBTQ+ community. To honour that, I’ve made a bunch of Pride-themed pieces, now in my Etsy shop, including these two fabulous bib-style statement necklaces that I refer to as Caterpillars.
They’re lightweight, easy to clean and store and just might double as a low maintenance pet. Available in the traditional 6-colour rainbow flag version or the 5-stripe pastel Trans Pride flag.
To celebrate Pride, I’m giving away this one-of-a-kind choker featuring the original 8-colour flag by Gilbert Baker. (Did you know that the pink stripe was removed simply because they ran our of pink fabric one year?) While I have a bunch of 6-stripe flag and trans flag chokers in my Etsy shop, this is the only choker made with the original eight colours.
Darren looked himself over in his bedroom mirror. Cargo shorts, white tank top under an open, short-sleeve cotton shirt with a palm tree pattern. Sneakers and short socks. Should he wear a hat? His Mom would suggest a hat, he knew, as she kissed him good-bye and told him to have a good day with his friends. A baseball game, he had told her, hoping there was actually a game on that day, not checking the schedules himself.
He met Michael at the subway. Similarly dressed in a loose summer shirt and shorts, Michael had worn a baseball hat. Crap, Darren thought, I should have worn one, too.
